Dress for Success Western Australia (DFSWA) is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help them thrive in work and in life.
We work with women who are marginalised largely through unemployment with secondary cultural and social issues. Our impact in 2023:
- 1,342 women supported
- 54 workshops – online and in-person
- 8,488kms travelled in our outreach van to Albany, Bunbury & Busselton, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Northam and The Peel region
- More than 29,000 items of clothing given a second life with clients or at Dress for Less sales
We now have an exciting opportunity for a new CEO to build on the amazing impact that we have had over the past few years.
The CEO is accountable to the Board of DFSWA and responsible for the effective implementation and achievement of our strategic, operational, and revenue generation plans; ensuring such plans provide community impact and financial sustainability.
Key facets of the role will include:
- Effective management of stakeholders including funders, donors, community, business, and influencer groups.
- Best practice strategic revenue generation to achieve aspirational income targets.
- Strong commercial/business acumen to achieve services sustainability.
- Managing day to day business operations and providing direction to staff, volunteers and external contractors/consultants
- Building organisational capability and fostering a culture of collaboration, quality and continuous improvement, all aimed at underpinning our growth.
You will be an energetic and outcome-oriented executive with previous leadership experience in a not-for-profit organisation. Your style will be authentic, accountable and punctuated by strong communication skills. Strong business acumen is essential to adopt and leverage funding models into the future. An understanding of community or human service delivery is desirable.
