Quadripoint is working closely with a tier 2 mining and civil contractor based in Western Australia, that has experienced significant growth over the past two years. Our client has now reached a level where they require the skills and expertise of a well experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all financial operations of the organisation.
The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis. The CFO will play a pivotal role in driving the company's financial strategy and ensuring long-term financial sustainability and growth.
The ideal candidate will have a reasonable to strong history of working in a similar role within the mining industry and more specifically the mining contracting and services area of the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's short-term and long-term goals, in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Direct the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and monitor budget performance throughout the year.
- Conduct financial analysis and modelling to assess the financial impact of business decisions, identify opportunities for cost optimisation, and drive profitability.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor industry trends and economic indicators to anticipate potential risks and opportunities, and recommend strategic adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Collaborate with other members of the executive team to drive cross-functional initiatives and contribute to overall business strategy and growth.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- CPA or CFA certification preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the mining servicing industry
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives
- Experience managing financial risks and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
