As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ANDHealth, you will work closely with the Managing Director (MD) and the Chief of Staff (COS) to provide robust financial management of a complex and growing business. Your extensive experience in a similar role will be challenged and fulfilled by our complex revenue profile, stringent risk management and compliance requirements, and constantly evolving business. Also supporting the ANDHealth Board as Joint Company Secretary, you will be instrumental in driving the execution of ANDHealth's core purpose to accelerate the commercialisation of evidence-based digital health technologies in Australia.
Our CFO will be responsible for:
- Overseeing end-to-end financial management, from bookkeeping and cash flow planning to financial reporting and modelling, including:
- Working with MD, COS the Leadership Team to ensure budgets and expenditure is accurate and in line with delegated authorities, company policies and funding guidelines.
- Supporting the MD and COS in drafting budgets and associated financial models for existing and new funding agreements.
- Managing all ANDHealth audits, ensuring that the company is properly prepared for and able to navigate its multiple audits swiftly and effectively.
- Preparing all financial reports including management and financial accounts, budgets and forecasts, to embed a forward planning culture
- Driving cross-functional internal efficiencies and strategic initiatives, providing solutions-oriented advice to the Leadership Team and across the organisation.
- Proactively maintaining and updating the company risk register.
- As Joint Company Secretary, manage the Board meeting schedule, agendas and documentation, in conjunction with the Chair, MD and other Directors.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate and an exceptional human with:
- 7+ years of experience in senior financial leadership roles (C-suite or direct report).
- Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting.
- Deep knowledge of Australian corporate law pertaining to governance and financial management.
- Experience balancing private and public revenue sources, ideally at a medical research institute, university, significant non-profit or philanthropic organisation.
- Exceptional financial reporting, analysis and modelling skills.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of critical analysis and resourcefulness.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
