The Roles
The Adoption Services and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) Support Team are part of the Out of Home Care (OOHC) stream within State-wide Services. The business unit is based in Fremantle.
The SGO Support Team are looking for a permanent Team Leader and 2x Child Protection Workers.
Team Leader SGO:
The Team Leader will lead a small team of workers who will primarily focus on support to SGO guardians, special needs loading reviews, working in partnership with Yorganop, responding to Ministerial requests, data collection and creation of guidance for workers. Being a new team the Team Leader will need to be innovative, driven and display strong leadership skills. They will need to have a high level of Child Protection knowledge. The Team Leader will report directly to the Director Professional Practice.
Child Protection Workers:
The Child Protection Workers will work directly with special guardians and stakeholders including district staff. Workers will be required to provide support to special guardians as well as advocate on their behalf. Workers will assist in writing guidance for staff, completing SNL reviews and be involved in SGO projects. The Child Protection Workers will report to the Team Leader SGO.

Qualification Requirements
You must have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position. All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency.
