If you want to help shape the future of Frankston, now is the time to join our team!About the positionCouncil's Waste Circularity Department is looking for a Circularity Education Officer!The main responsibilities will include:
- Plan and deliver waste circularity programs, education and awareness raising activities which increase awareness of circularity, improve resource recovery, minimise waste to landfill and encourage the sustainable use of natural resources.
- Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Council's Waste Circularity Plan, related strategies, and other relevant policies.
- Provide advice with regards to circularity, waste minimisation, recycling and resource recovery to the community and specific target groups.
- Provide support to and collaborate with other council departments to increase circularity within Councils operations.
This is a part-time position working 30.4 hours per week. What you will bring- Relevant degree, formal qualification or some relevant experience, especially in the area circularity, waste minimisation, recycling and resource recovery.
- Relevant project management experience in assisting with the development, implementation, monitoring and review of circularity, waste or sustainability education projects and initiatives.
- Sound knowledge of the waste and recycling industry, particularly as it relates to Local Government.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including experience and confidence in presentations.
- Ability to engage with a diverse range of people or stakeholders and to build and maintain productive relationships.

This position is a Band 5 currently remunerated at $78,589.24 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation.
