Alcoa of Australia are a global industry leader in bauxite, alumina and aluminium products. IMS Workforce (IMSW) provides technical services to Alcoa with our teams embedded across all Alcoa operations in Western Australia. This role is a key member of Alcoa’s onsite maintenance team at the Wagerup Refinery.
The Role
We are currently seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join the Residue team at the Alcoa Pinjarra refinery. Ideally, you will be from the area or happy to commute to Pinjarra on a daily basis.
This role will be ideally suited to a recent civil or mechanical engineer with relevant work experience in Brownfield construction, Tailings, Residue, Operations etc. Or to an engineer with 1-3 years experience who is looking to progress their career. This is a clear pathway to being a senior engineer within the Alcoa refineries and will equip you with a host of skills and experiences.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Preparation of construction documentation and specifications.
- Construction support including response to RFIs and attending meetings.
- Visiting sites for inspections.
- Scoping of projects.
- Project Engineering and Project Management activities.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum qualification – bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering,
- Intermediate computer skills, including email, internet, MS office,
- Engineering data analysis skills (desirable),
- Well-developed communication skills,
- Customer focused,
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail,
- Ability to prioritise design tasks and manage conflicts.
