With a commitment to the ongoing development and improvement of the State, our client is proud to offer industry leading surveying, engineering and planning services and are seeking a professional and dedicated civil engineer to support their ever growing pipeline of projects.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work on various civil infrastructure projects throughout Tasmania, carry out and supervise engineering design and preparation of drawings and contract documentation of civil engineering works. The successful candidate will report to and assist and advise the supervising directors and senior staff, with regard to all aspects of civil engineering undertaken by the firm throughout the state, including bid preparation, design documentation and project supervision that will include, but not be limited to roads, highways, subdivisions and drainage works.
About you
This role will be ideal for someone who has demonstrated civil engineering experience and can hit the ground running as an effective and contributing member of the team. Ideally you will have undertaken stormwater modelling and have a minimum of three to five years of experience in civil and/or hydraulic design within Australia.
To be considered for this position you must:
- Hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- Three to five plus years relevant experience in civil and/or hydraulic design
- Working knowledge of Austroads and local/service authority design standards
- Have the ability to work on a variety of projects consecutively
- Strong verbal and written skills
To further support your success in this role, the following would be received favourably:
- A Chartered Member (CPEng) of Engineers Australia or eligible
- Experience using: Civil Site Designs, DRAINS, EPANET or similar design software
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, BricsCAD, NEO
