About the Role

The Claim Coordinator is responsible for organising and managing high volumes of emergency make safe repairs for insurance customers, as well as overseeing the end-to-end cycle of restoration jobs. The primary goal is to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and within KPIs, while maintaining seamless customer experiences. 

This role requires close collaboration with Claims Consultants and Key Stake holders. 

Responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

  • Adhering to contract requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Maintain client and customer satisfaction, adhering to contract requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s
  • Coordinating all Restoration works from triage to completion.
  • Issuing Purchase Orders, updating file notes, internal and external systems, and managing communication with the claims consultants, assessors, and repair supervisors.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with trade contractors.
  • Liaising with Supply Chain Officers to ensure trade availability, monitor service levels, and manage trade workload.
  • Reviewing and approving reports, scope of works, invoices, and variations.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Quality Management policies and procedures, OHS, and insurance requirements.
  • Maintaining restoration works within agreed standards.
  • Coordinating further make safes as required.
  • Adapting to temporary changes in processes and responsibilities during high claim volume or extreme weather events.
  • Work in collaboration with Claims Consultants and other Stakeholders
  • Ensuring that restorations jobs are conducted in a manner that is consistent with company values, policies, and ethical standards.
  • Responding to inquiries and complaints, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of emergency response processes, including identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to address them.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as directed by the Emergency Response Manager

  • Strong competency in all Microsoft Office applications, iOS applications, and web/cloud-based portals
  • Advanced listening and communication skills
  • Trade and/or technical background would be an advantage
  • A broad knowledge of personal insurance and/or domestic building construction and repairs would be an advantage
