he CTP Claims team currently have exciting opportunities available for experienced Claims Advisors in the statutory benefits team. This busy and varied role will see you managing a portfolio of claims where you will be investigating the liability situation, gathering, and analysing medical and rehabilitation data and assisting our customers on their recovery journey.

The customers you are assisting will be those that have sustained non-threshold injuries.

This is a permanent role, based in either Sydney or Newcastle and will be a hybrid working model.

What you'll do

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of claims in accordance with legislative, regulatory and procedural guidelines to achieve cost effective and timely claim resolutions.
  • Obtaining and reviewing medical, financial, investigative and rehabilitation reports.
  • Liaising with customers, medical provider, employers and solicitors.
  • Ensuring legislative compliance timeframes are met in conjunction with ongoing review of medical, financial investigative and rehabilitation reports
  • Adopting appropriate strategies are observed to resolve claims cost effectively
  • Ensuring early access to appropriate rehabilitation so that injured customers can achieve optimal recovery from their injuries
  • Providing an excellent level of customer service to all stakeholders.

What you'll bring

  • Claims experience, in particular CTP or Workers Compensation preferred
  • A high level of emotional intelligence is required
  • Tertiary qualifications, including Legal, Allied Health or Insurance would be advantageous
  • Excellent analytical skills and technical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Pro-active and energetic team player
  • Highest professional approach to all aspects of claims handling
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information and negotiate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong administrative and written skills and the ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim whilst keeping in the restraints of the NSW legislation
  • Strong commitment and a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectations
  • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to workplace improvement and changes
