Claims Coordinator required for a 5-month assignment within a reputable State Government Organisation

- Applying Return To Work program objectives across various tasks including database management, claim lodgement files, calculation of Pre-Injury Average Weekly Income, compensation payments, and reporting.
- Providing professional and technical advice to staff, peers, managers, and providers, addressing the needs of different audiences and situations.
- Preparing briefs on sensitive issues for consideration by stakeholders, consistent with client assessments, financial reconciliation reports, and claims management documentation. Also, prepare complex reports requiring in-depth factual analysis of Return To Work measures, activities, and relevant expenditure.
- Providing input into the development, implementation, evaluation, and review of Injury & Claims Management policy and procedures.
- Participating in safety culture change initiatives and projects to improve processes for Injury & Claims Management practices.
- Working collaboratively across departments to assist with Health & Safety processes, including the execution of education packages to improve the application of management processes.
- Applying understanding of interrelationships between stakeholders to achieve local objectives.
- Promoting a safety culture within the team, monitoring and reviewing compliance.
- Communicating with the team and stakeholders on key topics and issues.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in claims coordination and administration will lead you to success, as will:
- Proficiency in managing Work Cover claims, inclusive of salary computations.
- Familiarity with the legislation and practices pertinent to worker's compensation.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilising digital systems for claims management, financial tracking, and management information, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Necessity to hold a valid Victorian Driving Licence.
