Oceanic Marine Risks have a new opportunity for a proactive Marine Claims Executive to take on this rewarding opportunity in either our Brisbane, Sunshine Coast or Airlie Beach office to support the business and advance their career with us.
About the Role
Picture yourself being responsible for managing a portfolio of end-to-end Marine claims. Utilise and expand your knowledge in Commercial Hull, Ship Repairers, Marine Liabilities, Commercial Property, Marine Infostructures as well as Marine Cargo, Transit and Carriers whilst providing prompt and fair management of claims.
- Engaging with customers and responding to claims enquiries.
- Listen attentively to customer needs and provide outstanding client service.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills whilst identifying and managing recovery opportunities.
- Follow ups and updates as required under General Insurance Code of Practice.

About You
- Experience working with, and a sound understanding of Marine products and the marine industry.
- Experience in commercial hull, marine liability, protection and indemnity.
- Strong business acumen, aligned to Marine insurance products.
- Ability to connect with people and build trust.
- Astute decision maker with a sound ability to negotiate and analyse/solve claim problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Sound computer skills, confident communication skills, teamwork and strong documentation skills.
- Career focused, responsible, self motivated and enthusiastic.
- Minimum of 3 years of technical and claims experience in Commercial Marine Claims, preferred.
- Minimum Tier 2 qualification in General Insurance.
