ABOUT THE ROLE
Clerk of the Court roles oversee the running of the court while performing quasi-judicial functions and providing support to Judiciary and staff.
The Clerk of the Court builds and maintains good relationships with local stakeholders and ensures the community is provided excellent customer service.
The responsibilities of the role includes:
- Monitor and manage resources to ensure appropriate allocation to meet the needs of customers.
- Oversee the occupational safety and health (OSH) in their areas of responsibility consistent with statutory obligations and departmental policies. This includes but is not limited to raising awareness of OSH requirements with their staff, resolving health and safety hazards in their areas of responsibility and ensuring the timely reporting of incidents.
- Contribute to the management and procurement of assets, facilities, technology and systems.
- Provide support in the development of budget for the Court. Monitor and report on the financial management of the Court and maintain the integrity of Court accounting systems in accordance with approved policies, procedures and legislation.
- Effectively use information, technology, records and knowledge management for the Court. Ensure the integrity and propriety of the Court records. Responsible for researching and providing appropriate information for the resolution of complex matters.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of 24 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time & part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies at similar locations, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.
