Your new role
The client is happy to offer a hybrid work model for the right person and the following key accountabilities apply:
• Draft bills for each job, calculating write-ons/write-offs, and analysing reasons for the latter.
• Review and preparation of income tax returns, financial accounts, BAS’s and FBT returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
• Provision of ancillary business services such as overseeing payroll functions, bookkeeping, and assisting with ad-hoc tax and entity structuring advice.
• Manage and maintain an ongoing, positive relationship with clients, acting as the main point of contact for the Firm.
• Maintain an understanding of client businesses and highlight areas/strategies to benefit the client.
• Provide direction to staff, clearly outlining their responsibilities, our expectations, and emphasising other key factors.
• Prepare and provide review points to staff, ensuring that the review points are addressed appropriately prior to approval of work.
• Provide performance feedback on a job-by-job basis, ensuring the staff member understands areas of strength and that a clear path for improvement is identified, as required.
What you'll need to succeed
•Identifying and gathering required information.
•Preparation of income tax returns and all schedules, Business Activity Statements, and FBT returns to a high standard.
•Manage personal workflow adequately to ensure deadlines are met.
•Review work of staff to a high standard, ensuring the work can be provided for the client with minimal partner review required.
•Successfully engaging with both small and larger groups of clients e.g., traders, investors; manufacturers, retailers and all types of entities including family trusts, companies, individuals, and partnerships.
•Prepare a full self-review of work to ensure minimal to no errors.
•Continual development of accurate technical knowledge, supported by experience.
•Ensure that timesheet records are accurate and completed daily.
•Fees are prepared in a timely manner.
•Meet targeted chargeable rate and minimise write-offs (<20%).
•Maintain productivity rate (60%).
•Appropriate communication of workflows to required internal and external stakeholders.
•Respond to client correspondence within one (1) business day.
•Deal with other members of the Firm on a respectful, collegiate basis.
•Consistently apply the Firm’s values internally and while representing the Firm externally.
