About the Role:
As the Disability Clinical Advisor (Registered Nurse), you will be responsible for providing clinical oversight, support and education to the Operations team and Support Workers, enabling the delivery of high-quality, individualised services for people with disability.
You will also:
- Provide clinical support and advice across services, ensuring best practice and trauma-informed care are upheld
- Provide training and education to Support Workers enabling them to provide competent and effective provisions of support.
- Establish and maintain relationships with members and their families, working in partnership to develop an understanding of their individual support and service needs.
- Undertake clinical assessments, planning, and reviews of Member support requirements, particularly those with high-intensity support and complex care needs
- Develop health management plans by the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse and review and approve Individual Support Plans
- Adhere to the Registered Nurse Standards for Practice, Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics
A Bit About You:
To be successful in this role, you will be a flexible and respectful individual with the ability to drive person-centred services. You will also have:
- Proficient knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and clinical support needs for people living with disabilities, as well as the NDIS Practice Standards.
- An in-depth understanding and commitment to person-centred care that supports the independence, choice and rights of people living with disabilities.
- At least 3 years post-registration experience, preferably in a similar Clinical Advisor role where clinical assessments, planning, and evolution were involved
- Leadership, mentorship and supervision skills
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities, using a participant-led approach emphasising member focus, confidentiality, influence, and collaboration.
- An unrestrictive Driver’s License, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children’s Check (WWCC).
