Hamilton Radiology presently has an opportunity for a part-time Clinical Assistant (0.8FTE) role within our team, providing support to our exceptional Sonographers!
About the role:
Working in our Hamilton Radiology Clinic's and reporting to the Chief Sonographer, you will provide high quality, medical imaging assistance and support services to the clinic and patients. Ideally, you would possess strong customer service experience and have experience working within the healthcare sector.
Key accountabilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures and examinations as required
- Assist technical staff with examinations as directed, including preparation of equipment
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, including machine start-ups (if required), and ensuring rooms are clean and properly stocked with supplies
- Clean and prepare equipment for patient use
- Assist with ensuring efficient workflow within the department, including oversight of appointments
- Assist with documentation and collating of documents for the patient visit
- Collaborate with the broader radiology team, including doctors, clerical staff and other technical members.

- Basic ability to handle patient care with compassion and tact, ensuring the patients privacy, dignity and confidentiality is maintained
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact amiably and effectively
- Ability to function effectively as part of a diagnostic health team
- Good time management and organisational skills
