At least 2 years solid aged care nursing in Australia you will work positively and proactively, you and your team will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of Clinical Care that is resident focused. You will be accountable for the development of the care staff’ skills, knowledge to achieve consumer outcomes. It is important that you are professional and have a passion to ensure consumers and their families are provided with the best care and support.
The responsibilities:
- Supervision of Care Staff
- Oversee Clinical Care in collaboration with clinical support staff
- Consult with families, allied health and medical personnel
- Provision of appropriate and timely documentation that meets regulatory requirements
- Identify high risks and ensure care is of best practice., report all clinical issues
- Participation in continuous quality improvement activities and oversee specialized nursing audits.
- Complete and supervise documentation of assessments, care plans care evaluation
- Complete Care Plan Consults on new Admission residents
- Daily reading of the progress notes and review of work logs
- Daily monitoring of any ill, palliative care and complex medical needs of those residents.
- Complete and supervise wound management
- Make appropriate referrals for the consumer in your care
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline Registered Division 1 Nurse with a current Victorian Practicing Certificate.
- Satisfactory National Criminal History Record check prior to commencement of employment and every three years.
- Qualifications / Experience in Aged care / Gerontology and/or Management of Nursing Services
- Critical clinical problem-solving skills, ability to identify clinical risks
- Capacity to lead and manage
- High level of computer skills
- Consumer driven outcome management
