ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
In this rewarding opportunity you will join the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team as a Clinical Informatics Manager, working across all four Melbourne Private Campuses.
This role will be a full time fixed term position, for 12 months. It will be an ideal role for a registered nurse or allied health professional, with a strong clinical background, experience working with clinical information systems in the acute healthcare setting, and a passion for continual improvement and excellent care.
The successful candidate will join a highly experienced and enthusiastic team, providing clinical support services to a broad range of stakeholders across SVPHM. Skills training specific to the CIS role will be provided, along with ongoing support and mentoring. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong clinical background looking to diversify their skills and knowledge, and contribute more broadly to providing excellent, patient centred care.
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
- Support the development and implementation of consistent and standardised clinical information systems and processes
- Support the development and implementation of change over processes from legacy to new IT systems
- Manage and maintain all aspects of the introduction of new clinical technologies
- Provide coaching and development for clinical information systems users
- Development and review of policies, procedures, forms, and guidelines relevant to clinical information systems

The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to implement change within an organisation
- Strong information technology and digital systems knowledge
- A strong clinical background in the healthcare setting
- Excellent planning and time management skills, and the ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated ability as a processes and systems thinker, with a strong ability to troubleshoot
- A demonstrated commitment to driving quality improvement and excellent patient care
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, and experience working as part of an effective team
