SalaryThe Outpatient Optimisation Lead is responsible for reviewing workflows, providing support and driving ongoing optimization of Medical Officer workflows within Specialist Clinics to ensure that the EMR system and digital health applications are continuously improved to enable provision of high-quality care to patients of Western Health. While the role is intended to provide a focus of subject matter expertise and support to Medical staff in Specialist Clinics, there will be a requirement to provide support to other medical workflows and WH staff as required.
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Informatics Analyst - Medical Officer (Outpatients Optimisation Lead) is to leverage their understanding of both healthcare workflows and information systems to optimise the use of technology at WH. You will be required to consult with staff to make a clinically informed recommendation to enable the Digital Health and EMR Project solutions are fit for purpose and will help provide the highest quality of care possible to patients of WH.
As a successful candidate, you will be a Medical Officer with strong clinical workflow knowledge, business analysis skills and project delivery experience. You will be a self-starter, a problem solver and have excellent communications and change management skills to support your team in delivering the Digital Health and EMR Project.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a Registered Medical Officer with AHPRA holding general or specialist registration.
- Have at least two years’ experience in the design and deployment of EMR functionality
- Have an understanding of Oracle Health or similar EMR build and functionality
- Have demonstrated understanding of clinical workflows in the outpatient setting
- Be able to work both independently and in a complex team environment
