About the Role

  • An exciting opportunity to join our Medical Records team in a Clerk role. In this rewarding opportunity you will join the Hunter New England team.
  • You will be responsible for efficiently preparing and scanning patient records into our Digital Medical Record system (DMR).
  • A strong sense of customer service is required as you will regularly liaise with both internal and external customers responding to general enquiries and actioning these requests as needed in accordance with relevant privacy policies and legislation.

Requirements
  • Experience working in a Clinical Information Department.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Terminal Digit Filing.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve work outcomes, meet deadlines and provide quality service in a time constrained environment.
  • Ability to use a wide range of computer hardware, software and electronic systems to complete work activities.

  • An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.
  • To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
