An exciting temporary opportunity exists for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the Older People’s Mental Health Service (OPMHS) Executive unit to assist the unit to achieve its strategic goals. The position is temporary part-time until 30th June 2024.

Where you'll be working
The OPMHS Executive Unit is based at Macquarie Hospital and consists of the OPMHS Program Manager, Clinical Director, CNC 3 and a small multidisciplinary clinical team.
What you'll be doing
The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.
The OPMHS CNC is tasked with working collaboratively with the OPMHS Executive team to achieve the strategic goals of the service. The CNC position is allocated the lead for various clinical and strategic portfolios with a focus on strategic implementation and planning. The CNC is tasked with taking a lead in the portfolios of Skin Integrity and Advance Care Planning and End of Life care for the wider Mental Health Drug & Alcohol organisation.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- A Registered Nurse who has a minimum of 5 years full time post graduate experience in a mental health speciality. In addition, post graduate tertiary qualification within the speciality of Mental Health and NSW Driver's License.
- Demonstrated experience with research and /or quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership in management of older people with complex mental health issues and co-morbid conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead evidence-based nursing clinical practice through the development and implementation of educational programs.
