The John Hunter Trauma Service is a dynamic, highly motivated, and skilled group of Trauma specialists medical, nursing, scientist, and administrative staff, servicing the busiest Major Trauma Centre in NSW.
Our team is involved in all areas of Trauma care, from resuscitation to rehabilitation.
We work with adults and paediatrics, promoting a collegial and supportive work environment.
About the role:
The Trauma Case Manager Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Grade 1 position is part of our innovative nursing model that provides high-level expert clinical care to all trauma inpatients. The role covers all aspects of the CNC domains and functions and is supported by the team. No two days are the same.

• There will be support provided by the Trauma Case Managers and the Trauma CNC II and III
• There is a well-developed orientation plan for the role
• Personal development through education and research are both valued and supported by the entire Trauma Service
• We actively encourage the attainment of higher-level qualifications in all our nursing team

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
• At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience and approved post-registration nursing qualifications relevant to the clinical care trauma patients, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation
