About the roleThe Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the coordination, leadership and supervision of staff and services within their remit. The role contributes to the development and monitoring of standards of nursing practice, initiates quality improvement practices and implements changes and improvements for the service. The position also provides clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence-based care is delivered to consumers and coordinates the day-to-day operations of Next Step clinical services. The Clinical Nurse Manager practices within their scope of practice, considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart. Maintains a client case load within an integrated case management model. Promotes and develops effective working relationships with external agencies.
