Are you passionate about providing specialised care to newborns and their families? Are you a Clinical Nurse experienced working within Special Care Nursery and seeking an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of neonates and their families. If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Within this role you will be part of our team that provides a supportive and compassionate environment for expectant mothers and their newborns. The Special Care Nursery plays a crucial role in our mission, offering advanced medical care to premature infants and those with special needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to infants in the Special Care Nursery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing procedures as needed.
Confident in supporting and caring for babies from 32 weeks
Experience with CPAP, Nasogastric Feeding and Neonatal Ventilation
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant.
Educate and support families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and strategies for promoting infant development.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse/Midwife
Post Grad Qualification – Neonate Intensive Care
Minimum of 5 years of experience in neonatal nursing or a related specialty.
Current certification in ALS
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate and family-centered care to infants and their families.
