About the teamAt Wesfarmers, we're self-insured for workers compensation. Group TeamCover manages this important function by engaging and collaborating with our diverse businesses. We aim to minimise the impact of workplace injuries and achieve positive outcomes for both our team members and our business.
What you'll do- Manage a panel of clinical consultants including triaging of incoming referrals to achieve superior medical and claims outcomes
- Partner with our claims teams and businesses to provide trusted advice on areas including:
- Early intervention
- New and complex claims
- Surgery requests
- Allied health strategies
- Identify medical and claims risks and work collaboratively with our claims teams to develop strategies that maximise injury and return to work outcomes
- Work closely with key stakeholders to effectively manage the InjuryCARE Early Intervention program including issue resolution
- Ensure that early intervention and medical management initiatives and strategies are aligned with best practice and emerging trends
What you'll need- Significant experience working in an injury management role within a workers compensation environment
- Demonstrated experience in delivering early intervention and medical management programs
- Understanding of the medical management of workplace injuries and ability to influence complex claims outcomes
- Strong knowledge of the current Workers Compensation Legislation
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to positively influence key stakeholders
- A naturally inquisitive mind, and strong ability to problem solve
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet agreed deadlines
- A results orientated, customer focused approach to your work
- A genuine interest and passion to learn and develop new skills
- Tertiary qualification in an allied health or rehabilitation related discipline
