Mt Wilga Private Hospital is a 119 bed specialist rehabilitation facility, with a busy day therapy unit, and outpatients department situated in Hornsby, a peaceful area of Sydney’s Upper North Shore. Part of the Ramsay Health Care Group, Mt Wilga boasts an excellent clinical reputation as a leader in private rehabilitation, with large treatment areas, two hydrotherapy pools, and fully equipped gymnasiums. Mt Wilga offers comprehensive rehabilitation programs for patients presenting with a wide variety of conditions including orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, chronic pain, cardiac, amputee, reconditioning, and lymphoedema. Under Ramsay Health Plus, Mt Wilga Private Hospital is also an NDIS registered provider, delivering therapeutic supports to NDIS participants.
The successful applicant will have experience working with individuals who have suffered injury, chronic illness or disability and a keen interest in health psychology.
Duties
Psychological assessment and intervention
Delivery of relevant group education content
Work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Essential Criteria
Relevant degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
Full registration with AHPRA (provisional psychologists are welcome)
Registered to provide services under SIRA (or willing to complete the necessary training)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High standard of customer service and a team approach
Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence based practice
Understanding of quality improvement principles
Flexible, positive approach to work
Availability for Tuesday and Thursday shifts with opportunity for other weekdays as required
Desirable Criteria
Experience working with individuals suffering Chronic Pain and/or chronic illness
Member of the Australian Psychological Society

Requirements
Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
