Overview
We have a great leadership opportunity for a Clinical Senior Social Worker to provide to apply significant clinical and leadership expertise to the development, delivery and continuous improvement of quality Social Work services appropriate to the rural and remote context.
Operating within a multi-disciplinary service context, the Clinical Senior Social Worker upholds professional standards and provides complex clinical and consultancy Social Work services across the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) Rural Region As a clinical leader, mentor and clinical supervisor the Senior Social Worker provides clinical support and profession-specific supervision to less experienced Social Workers and plays a leadership role in the clinical education of staff and professional students within YNLHN.
The Clinical Senior Social Worker also plays a leadership role in the Yorke and Northern Social Workers Network and the Yorke and Northern Social Work Network, collaborates with other Clinical Seniors to actively promote and contribute to research and evaluation to inform improvements in clinical practice, and holds a portfolio on behalf of Yorke ad Northern. As part of this portfolio responsibility, the Clinical Senior Social Worker is required to develop, nurture and promote increased expertise and service improvements in the portfolio area, to represent Yorke and Northern on relevant committees, and may be required to contribute to or manage relevant projects.
The Clinical Senior Social Worker is line managed by the Team Leader/Program Manager, receives clinical support and supervision from the Advanced Clinical Lead Social Worker, and maintains cooperative working relationships with other Allied Health Professional Clinical Seniors, local team members and key stakeholders in the Region and State.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work profession, and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). As a self-regulated profession, it is desirable to participate in the AASW Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accreditation program.
