The RoleJoining the team as a
Clinical Services Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of our 3 Theatres specialising in Plastics, Ocular-plastics, Orthopaedics (feet, hands and shoulders), ENT and Dental surgery.Reporting to the Director of
Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.The successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources.Joining our well-established team of doctors and nurses, this role will see you:
- Apply advanced nursing practices in planning, implementing and evaluating care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
- Be a positive mentor and provide clinical leadership and support to your team
- Effectively manage roster processes and allocate duties to clinical staff
- Working with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes
- Assist in shaping organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.
Your Key Skills and Experience
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- 5 years post registration experience in Perioperative services
- Strong leadership skills and confident with delegating duties
- Experience in managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management
- Ability to ensure excellence in customer service and a team approach
- Ability to review and implement continuous improvement programs
- Post-graduate studies in the area of specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded
