What you'll be doing:
An excellent opportunity is available to join the team in Birth Unit for a Clinical Support Officer working in a Part Time Temporary contract for 2 days a week - (Thursday and Fridayi).
The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) role will be ward/unit based and support the work activities of nurses, medical staff and allied health staff, with locally determined shift times based on patient and ward/unit service delivery needs.
You role may provide functions across the health facility or to more than one ward/unit. This position will work closely with existing administrative staff such as ward clerks and communication officers at the ward/unit level.
The role will complement existing roles, systems, and processes in each organisation and will provide timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for members of the health care team on designated ward(s)/unit(s) under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager(s).
This position will see you work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action, decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the ward/unit remain the responsibility of the N/MUM.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection criteria to be addressed: * Holds or willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health administration or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken work and ability to deal courteously with people at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, Healthroster, Staff link, iProcurement and My Health Learning.
- Capacity work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
- Able to demonstrate problem solving and prioritising skills in a work environment.
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the position as listed in the physical requirements in the position description.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
