The Clinical Team Leader Pharmacist works closely with the Senior Clinical/Education Pharmacist and is responsible for the coordination of the clinical activities of pharmacists working on the wards on a day to day basis. Clinical Team Leader Pharmacists are required to act as a clinical mentor/supervisor to junior pharmacists in the department as well as be an active participant in clinical service delivery to the hospital.

Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH)
Royal North Shore is a principal tertiary referral hospital for Northern Sydney Local Health District providing a comprehensive range of complex services to patients from across NSW. It has a strong and proud history in education, research and provision of high quality clinical care. RNSH provides specialty services including major trauma, severe burns, spinal cord injuries, neonatal intensive care, bone marrow transplantation, neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology alongside acute medical, surgical, mental health, paediatric, cancer and maternity services.
What you'll be doing
- Supervision of junior pharmacists
- Participating in relevant research projects and presenting at professional conferences & publication in relevant journals
- Participate in clinical pharmacy service provision including the general roster as required
- Participating in weekend, public holiday and on-call rosters
- Provide exceptional level of clinical support to the patient care areas with minimal supervision
- Work within the multidisciplinary team to make shared decisions that meet the needs of patients, carers and families regarding medication management and patient care
- Involvement in education of health professionals and consumers about medicines
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia with no conditions or restrictions on practice and evidence of extensive and relevant hospital experience.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, interns, Pharmacist, and/or Pharmacy Technicians/Assistants.
- Identify proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current clinical hospital pharmacy practice. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
