We are seeking a highly experienced and unique Senior Speech Pathologist and Team Leader to join our team at Necessity Kids. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering speech pathology services to children aged 0-12 years.
As a Senior Speech Pathologist and Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to our team of Speech Pathologists and Early Intervention Key Workers.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing clinical consultation to a range of allied health professionals on complex cases, including assessments, goals, and plans.
Developing and delivering training programs and workshops to professionals and families, ensuring that they are up to date with the latest research and best practice.
Collaborating with management and clinical teams to identify areas for improvement and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
Participating in research projects and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines, protocols, and standards.
We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about working both in the office and in the community. You will play a key role in overseeing services to families in the Illawarra region. The ideal candidate will also have experience in developing skills in other professionals, early childhood services, schools, and community groups. You will be responsible for delivering individual and group supervision to our clinical team as well as designing and implementing clinical professional development.
The successful candidate will be a university-qualified Speech Pathologist and hold Speech Pathology Australia membership, they will also have a current Working With Children Check, National Police Check, and be eligible to have a Medicare provider number.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Speech and Language Pathology and hold a current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Speech and Language Pathology.
- Experience in developing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in caseloads with NDIS funding and Neurodiverse Affirming Approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with allied health professionals, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and analytically.
- Experience in contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
