The Clubhouse Operations Manager at BYS is responsible for managing the Food & Beverage department and Facilities Maintenance within our Clubhouse. The main focus of this role is to foster a culture of exceptional hospitality, uphold service standards, and enhance Member engagement. Working closely with the General Manager the Clubhouse Operations Manager ensures alignment and coordinated efforts to ensure Member satisfaction.
This position requires an engaging and seasoned professional with a genuine passion for food and beverage, an understanding of service deliverables within a private members club, meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership skills, effective administrative abilities, and a hands-on approach. The Clubhouse Operations Manager is also expected to work weekends and actively lead the service on the floor during peak times. In essence, the Clubhouse Operations Manager assumes responsibility for the entire Clubhouse, including its facilities and maintenance.
Responsibilities
• Fosters culture through interactions with Members and Staff
• Management of rostering, while meeting cost of labour targets
• Clubhouse recruitment, induction and training
• Manage the delivery of events
• In collaboration with the General Manager and Chef, oversee and enhance the development of menus and service standards
• Have a very clear understanding of costings
• Manage all POS and reservations software
• Develop budgets, forecasting and performance analysis of the F&B department
• Managing beverage supplier ordering and relationships
• Monthly stocktake with the investigation of any variances
• Occupational Health and Safety across the Clubhouse
• Enhance general maintenance and Clubhouse appearance
• Ensure all equipment used for the purpose of food and beverage operations fully comply with prescribed safety regulations and are fit for purpose and manage processes and systems that ensure the maintenance and upkeep of all Clubhouse equipment and general environment. Assist in the planning of Clubhouse repairs and maintenance in conjunction with the Clubhouse committee
