Brunel is partnering with a global organisation, who are searching for a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join their team in Toowoomba/Dalby region, QLD.
As part of our client's manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient operation of their machining processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute machining tasks according to engineering drawings and instructions.
- Undertake shift work to meet operational demands.
- Report machine, infrastructure faults, and equipment problems promptly.
- Complete product and inspection documentation in compliance with their Quality Management System and corporate policies.
- Perform fitting, maintenance, and general hand duties as required.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
- Identify and communicate conflicts between operational procedures and safety mandates to management.
- Follow instruction and direction from the Leading Hand - Machining or Plant Foreman.
- Read and comprehend engineering drawings accurately.
- Maintain daily records and ensure accurate completion of job/time/clocking cards.
- Assist in fitting, maintenance, and general hand duties as needed.
- Care for, maintain, and organize company gauges and measuring equipment.
- A current and appropriate Trade Certificate.
- Understand the operation of manual and computer controlled turning and milling equipment
- Understand the difference between grades of steel and their machining characteristics
- Customer service oriented
- Extensive experience with the operation of manual metal working machinery in a customer focused manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience with the operation and programming of metal working machinery in a customer focused manufacturing environment is essential.
- Must possess all appropriate current licences, as required by the company, and where reasonably practicable, to drive and/or operate company vehicles, plant or equipment, relevant to this position.
- Physical fitness appropriate to the role.
