Cnc Operator/Machinist

Hypower (AUST.) Pty Ltd is located within Clayton. We are a leading manufacturer / re-seller of hydraulic components and products.

We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator/machinist who have previous, proven experience in the Hydraulic or Mechanical field.  

The Role: 

An immediate opportunity has arisen for specialised CNC Machinist with experience with Fanuc controllers. The successful candidates will have excellent mechanical aptitude. 

The duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

• Work closely with Production Manager to maintain Production schedule. 
• Set up tooling, fixturing and part setting for scheduled jobs.
• Create new programs for both high and low volume parts.
• Maintain tooling and fixturing library in collaboration with our Engineering team.
• Perform machine setup and operate for production as required.
• Monitoring equipment/machine conditions and diagnosing/reporting faults.
• Collaborate with Engineers, production staff, and shop staff to resolve machining challenges.
• Interoperate engineering drawings knowledge of dimensional tolerances and GD&T.
• Produce new fixturing/work holding solutions for new parts as required.
• Perform regular machine maintenance.
• Keep work area neat and organised.
• Strong written and verbal skills a must
• Strong computer skills with ability to display organised file management.

Skills & Experience: 

• 2+ years working with manual programming (G & M code and/or Conversational)
• Trade qualifications and documentation relevant for the position.
• Fanuc CNC Controllers.
• Fluent in reading and writing English.
• Able to interpret technical drawings.
• Previous experience in a CNC machinist role, ideally in manufacturing or assembly and fit of components for machinery.
• Good communication skills.
• Perform other duties as instructed and assigned.
• A current Australian driver’s licence.

Also desirable: 

• Forklift license.
• Welding experience 
• Robot welding experience

Salary is negotiable and relevant to knowledge and experience. Hours are 7:00 am to 3:30pm from Monday – Friday.
