About the role
Based in the busy mining and manufacturing hub of Pinkenba, this is a great full-time opportunity for candidates who have the dedication to provide customers with a quality product and be part of an established brand with strategic growth plans.

The Role:
This role entails developing and fine-tuning CNC programs for manufacturing parts and components accurately.
- Interpret engineering drawings, models and specifications to develop CNC programs for machining Operations, including milling, turning, drilling & grinding.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters and toolpaths to optimize machining processes for efficiency, quality & cost effectiveness
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software to generate toolpaths, simulate machining operations & validate program correctness
- Collaborate with engineers, draftspersons, and machinists to review and refine CNC programs, troubleshoot issues, and implement design changes or improvements to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation, including CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling lists, and process parameters, to facilitate repeatability, traceability, and compliance with internal standards
- Conduct Test runs, trial cuts & simulations to verify program accuracy, tool performance, and part quality.
About You:
The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Trade Qualified (Fitter and Machinist).
- Experience in programming and operating CNC lathes or milling machines
- CAD/CAM software exposure
- Facilitating the conversion of engineering designs into machine instructions that result in high-quality products produced efficiently and precisely.
- Experience in machining hydraulic cylinder components.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and work to fine tolerances.
