Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a part time (0.6 FTE) Co-Educator to work within our growing Adelaide Hills campus.
The role on offer is for commencement at the start of Term 2 (29 April 2024), for a 6-week contract. There is opportunity to remain on staff following this as a casual Co-Educator. With our Hills campus continuing to grow significantly over the coming years, the opportunity for permanent work in the future is also there for the right person.
Position Purpose
Co-Educators play a crucial role in creating an engaging, positive, and student-centred learning environment. The role collaborates closely with Classroom and Specialist teachers, supporting students ranging from those with learning difficulties to those seeking enrichment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated support to students with disabilities and learning needs, actively participating in planning and review meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers to facilitate the learning and teaching program for students.
- Assist students individually or in groups as part of inclusive teaching and learning practices.
- Contribute actively to fostering a strong, collaborative, and supportive team environment.
Qualifications Required:
- Education-related Certificate III or Diploma Qualification (or higher).
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Successful completion of mandatory reporting training (RRHAN-EC).
- Current Working with Children's Check.
- Understanding of children's developmental and well-being needs in relation to learning and growth outcomes.
