Bean Culture Coffee is a small coffee roasting business that specialises in roasting coffee beans, providing wholesale beans to various cafes and businesses, serving coffee & refreshments at corporate events and training budding baristas and home coffee lovers in their barista training school.
Bean Culture’s Head Quarters is located in the industrial area of Mitchell, Canberra. Within the roastery we boast having state-of-the art equipment, Giesen coffee roasters, a professional barista training school and a world first hydroponic coffee tree farm. Included at the HQ is also a beautiful, fresh, modern café open 6 days a week.
Bean Culture also specialises in corporate events - bringing our fresh roasted coffee to multiple high end corporate customers. We own multiple coffee carts, vans, and trucks and use the best equipment to provide our customers with our fresh roasted specialty coffee - at their events !
As an Events and Deliveries Assistant, you'll be the backbone of our operations, both behind the scenes and front and centre at events. You'll be:
- Making sure our coffee carts are always stocked and our operations are flawless,
- Coffee-making and serving customers at various VIP and high-end corporate events,
- Be open to travelling within Canberra and occasionally interstate for Coffee Events,
- Sending quotes, invoices and emails to customers
- Deliveries - you will deliver coffee carts and equipment to various locations as well as coffee deliveries to wholesale and online customers
- Warehousing (packaging and distribution of coffee/products)
- Dabbling in warehouse operations and assisting where needed on the roastery floor,
- Installation of coffee carts and equipment at events,
- Signage wraps of corporate branding on coffee carts (using in-house
printing equipment), - Business and product promotion,
- The occasional cafe shift where required,
- You must be physically fit and able to lift coffee carts, machines etc.
- The hours for this role are negotiable, however availability for the occasional night and weekend shift are essential.
Skills and experience:
- Excellent customer service skills , bubbly personality and great communication is a must
- A passion for coffee
- Hardworking, punctual and reliable
- Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with our customers
- Experience as a barista
- Flexible and willing to learn and work in varied aspects of the business
- Maintain a clean and organised work space
- Having a current drivers licence is essential
- The ability to work autonomously as well as within a small team environment, and being happy to help other team members when needed
- A ‘can-do’ attitude – no two days are the same. Being open and flexible to helping in other areas of the business.
