About the role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- The Collection Lead is responsible for the management of a designated area of ACC (Accredited Collection Centre) sites and includes the leadership of a team of pathology collectors, and coordination of day-to-day operations, to ensure the delivery of a high standard of clinical and customer service
- The Collection Lead will provide leadership, support and on-going training to their collections team, to ensure that the right people are placed in the right roles and supported to fulfill these roles
- This role will ensure that designated (ACC) sites meet all People & Culture, Workplace Health & Safety requirements, and relevant accreditation standards
About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
Qualifications/Licences:
- Essential (to be obtained) - Certificate 3 in Pathology Collection (including AS4308 - Drugs of Abuse collections)
- Essential - Drivers Licence
Skills & Experience:
- Sound knowledge of the pathology industry
- Capable of functioning autonomously and prioritising their work and the work of others within established policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Identifies new or improved opportunities and processes to enhance organisational strategy
- Ability to supervise the work of others, including work allocation and guidance
- Possesses well developed administrative skills and problem-solving abilities
- Possesses effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt style based on the needs of the audience
- Able to summarise information and required actions into simple concise terms that others can understand
- 3 + years' experience as a Pathology Collector
- Proven ability to lead a team
- Exposure to rostering, recruitment, pay queries, and incident management
