The Collection Management Systems (CMS) Officer plays a leading role the development, maintenance, user support and training for the Memorial’s CMS. The position also plays a critical role in the integration of the CMS with the Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) and provides input into the direction and collaborative management of the integrated system, policies, and user groups.
Core responsibilities
As part of the CMS Team, the role is responsible for the delivery of:
Help desk services for CMS requests;
Training for new and existing users;
Analysis of system performance and user requirements;
Initiation and implementation of system improvements and enhancements;
Procedures for collection documentation and information;
Data monitoring and improvement tasks;
User generated reports.
Collaborate with the CMS Team and users; key internal stakeholders including IT and DAMS team; and key external stakeholders including vendors and contractors to ensure system performance and growth;
Contribute to Collection Services team outcomes for the safe, collaborative and effective management of the National Collection.
