About the Role
Commercial Analyst role is accountable for financial accounting, management, and analytical reporting for the Electrical Business Units within the Specialist Networks Mechanical Group. Core functions of the role include month end financial accounting process, management reporting, budgeting and expense control, variance analysis for Revenue, Margin, Expense and Balance Sheet Items, Monthly Account Reconciliations, Indirect Tax Payments, as well as special projects within the broader Finance team.
Key responsibilities include:
- To complete month end process including posting all relevant journal entities in the required time frame.
- Completion of Monthly Financial Analysis for respective Business Units
- Complete monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations, including resolving any issues identified by these Reconciliations.
- Complete Monthly Financial reporting requirements for the Business Units and Bapcor Group.
- Assist the Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Analyst in the Company’s annual process of formulating the Company’s Annual Budget, including developing the Budget Pack
- Lead the finalisation of the Company’s Year End and Half-Year Reporting requirements, including but not limited to completion of Year End Schedules.
- Support M&A activity including liaising directly with Acquisition Targets, preparing Investment Recommendations for internal approval, and supporting integration of new Businesses into our Group.
About You
This role would be a great fit for an experienced Commercial Analyst with a proven track record of driving business growth through meticulous data analysis and strategic insights. Skilled in financial modelling, market research, and trend analysis, you thrive in dynamic environments where you can leverage data to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
- Tertiary qualifications: Business degree majoring in accounting or other relevant major with an accounting minor.
- CA/CPA Qualified / partially completed.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a financial and/or management accounting function in a complex organisation
- Advanced Financial Accounting Skills, including current knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Advanced management accounting and business analytics experience
- High Level ERP literacy: Pronto experience preferred but not essential.
