Alliance College is a privately owned Registered Training Organisation (RTO) based in CBD Adelaide and Sydney. Established in 1981 and is one of the most experienced hospitality schools in Australia. The college specialises in ELICOS, Hospitality, Cookery, Automotive, Business and Carpentry training and delivers training to both local and international students.
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an engaging, experienced qualified Trainer and Assessor with current industry currency to deliver training to both our international and local students. Our training will assist students in developing their pathway to gain entry to local and interstate universities, or finding long-term sustainable employment opportunities, depending on their ultimate goals and aspirations.
Key responsibilities of this role are:
- Conduct dynamic training & assessment sessions for the training product
- Assess students' knowledge, skills, and abilities through practical exams, projects, and theoretical assessments
- Follow up on outstanding assessment
- Record and resulting assessment
- Liaise with administration
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to enhance their professional growth
- Development and enhancement of learning and assessment material
- Ensure all materials, assessment plans, and assessment tools are current, sufficient, valid and reliable
- Ensure that assessments meet the requirements of the endorsed components of Training Packages and the outcomes specified in accredited courses within the scope of registration
- Ensure that assessments, regardless of whether through a training and assessment pathway or an assessment-only pathway comply with relevant standards and requirements at all times
- Ensure that high-quality training and assessment standards are maintained at all times
- Promote training courses throughout the community through individual contact and other means
Desirable skills and qualifications for this role:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or TAE40116)
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
- Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualification in Hospitality Management
- Industry experience and knowledge in the field of Cookery and Hospitality
- Previous VET Sector / RTO experience
