With a manufacturing plant in Victoria, our client has a large range of equipment engineered to suit a variety of requirements across infrastructure, construction, water treatment plants, mining, FMCG, and safety requirements for all types of buildings including commercial enterprises.
They are growing quickly and need to service existing clients and new business opportunities in and around Melbourne.

About the job
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for face-to-face sales calls with existing and potential new customers, guiding marketing-related campaigns, and working with the marketing team to produce marketing plans and drive sales and sales related activity:
- Establishing new business opportunities and meetings for new and existing clients.
- Delegating and following up with both the marketing & customer service teams.
- Producing weekly reports for sales meetings.
- The role includes meeting customers at a distance and may require staying away at times.
Day to day you can expect to be:
- Preparing sales budgets and reports in accordance with the company’s growth plans.
- Presenting and discussing sales results against targets with the Sales Manager.
- Prioritising your top ten leads each week and converting these leads to orders.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, Smartsheet and other related computer programs including experience in the use of a CRM and/or ERP system.
