The business is a leading supplier of technologically advanced power conversion equipment (solar inverters & wind turbines, transformers) for the growing Australian solar & wind power generation industry.
The Role
As the Commercial Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in driving the company’s growth and success. Working closely with the Business Development team in the pre-sales process, as well as the Project Management team regarding the management and negotiation of commercial & contractual elements of all projects (utility-scale grid-connected solar & wind farm development projects).
- Manage, review, and evaluate the commercial elements of complex project contracts for utility and commercial scale renewable power generation projects.
- Contract negotiation while liaising internally with the different stakeholders (legal, finance, compliance, technical).
- Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams during contract negotiations.
- Draft and manage contractual responses and variations in conjunction with the project scope.
- Conduct contract risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in contract management.
- A tertiary degree in Commercial or Business Law, or a related field.
- Ability to read & interpret complex project contracts.
- Previous experience in the renewable energy, electrical, construction or mining sectors is preferable (but not essential).
- Knowledge on contract coordination / management, contract law and legal regulations.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical abilities and able to multitask.
