You will be working for a dynamic FinTech that offers a broad range of end-to-end financial services to the non-bank market and works with a variety of Australian businesses in different industries. The company prides itself on delivering a leading suite of lending products in a competitive, efficient, and compliant manner.Reporting to the small business Head of Sales, you will be responsible for assisting a team of Business Development Managers with all required support functions for them and the finance sales team to be successful by building relationships with various internal teams as well as Clients, Brokers, and Service providers. This is a varied role in a dynamic sales environment and is a support role that may lead you into sales or credit in the future.
The role:
- Manage all inbound sales enquiries and allocate and deal with them as necessary by pre-qualification and introduction to relevant sales teams
- Liaise with clients and referral partners to collect information required to complete credit submissions
- Complete credit submissions to validate worthiness of providing finance to a borrower
- Liaise with clients and referral partners, working closely with credit and facilitations team to manage applications to settlement
- Assist the Head of Sales and executive leadership team with project work as required
- Manage the CRM as well as input of required data
- Complete financial and credit analysis on new clients to assess viability for lending
- Work closely with various teams across the business to achieve required outcomes
- Assist with the organisation of marketing events working with the sales and marketing team
- Assist in registering new broker partners
- Manage implementation of software and other innovations to support the finance sales team, including Loan Origination Software, Pipeline Software and Lead Generation Software
- Proactively review client lists and attend portfolio reviews with other business units with a view to identify cross sell opportunities
- Reach out to clients via the Sales teams to manage proposals to the client and handle the new facility through to settlement
- Provide guidance, leadership and support to other Business Development Officers as required
To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential criteria:
- A Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Previous work experience gained within a Commercial Lending environment is essential
- B2B product knowledge of business finance products including debtor, trade, and equipment finance
- Financial market and foreign exchange knowledge is preferred
- First class communication skills both written and verbal
- A strong customer service ethic
- Strong experience of complex problem solving with critical thinking gained in a financial services environment
- Intermediate skills using MS Office suite
- Experience working with a CRM and input of critical data
- Experience working in a target driven culture in a dynamic sales environment
- The ability to prioritise in a deadline driven environment with an eye for detail
