What does the job look like?
Play a crucial role in the growth and success of our Consumer &Healthcare Group Business Unit. As a Commercial Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth, enhance profitability, and strengthen customer relationships. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations and finance, to identify opportunities, negotiate contracts, and ensure exceptional service delivery. Your keen business acumen and ability to analyse trends will enable you to make informed decisions, mitigate risks, and capitalise on emerging opportunities. Key areas:
- Work closely with the Management Teams to build a strong understanding of operations and customer needs and assist support in their understanding of financial performance and the financial drivers of the business
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial models to be applied across the Portfolio
- Capture, monitor and report financial performance by reference to key contract KPIs
- Lead and coach both finance and operational teams with preparation and analysis of weekly and monthly budget forecasts
- Accurately report the commercial and financial performance to both key internal and external stakeholders at all times
- Ensure commercial and financial governance and controls are always maintained to the highest standards across all support functions, and at all sites
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement by challenging existing ways of doing business and explore new opportunities for improvement
You are a hands-on commercial Manager who can take initiative with a desire to achieve results and a passion to get involved in and master the commercial details of the division. You can demonstrate:
- Previous management and commercial experience in a similar position within the Logistics industry with experience in warehousing is highly desirable
- Direct customer service experience and a sound record of achievement with workplace KPI management
- Proven experience and responsibility of a profit and loss business and all the financial requirements of that business
- Advanced MS Excel skills are essential, and Power Bi and SAP knowledge would be preferred
- Degree in Business Studies / Accounting and completion or CPA or CA is highly desirable
