We have an opportunity for a self-driven and motivated Project Administrator, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. The successful candidate will possess great attention to detail and understand the importance of following business process to ensure projects are commenced, supported, and completed in accordance with scheduling.
Working with an experienced and dedicated team you will be exposed to all areas of shop fitting and construction
This role is perfect for someone looking to take the next step in the Construction Industry. Your primary responsibility will be to complete the businesses small client projects, including maintenance works of key clients and with the support of the current team. You will also have good construction knowledge of sub trades and enjoy liaising with clients plus a willingness to learn. This role is for a dynamic individual who will be encouraged to grow their career within the business and will be provided the opportunity to develop into a Project Management role
Your responsibilities will include:
• Receive all incoming plans/drawings & tenders for quoting
• Assist Estimator/Project Manager to distribute and collect sub-contractor & supplier quotes in order to provide quotation for client
• For small projects, receive the clients brief, including any formal drawings and details. Complete a works request form and prepare and obtain client approval on the scope and program for the works.
• For small projects(or maintenance work), determine where possible, a budget for the project and confirm this with the client.
• Submit the small job quotation and the detail scope of works to the client for formal approval
• Liaise with Architects (as required) and organise all building permits and approvals including Town Planning applications where necessary
• Liaise with Shopping Centres to provide all relevant documentation for On-Site Inductions and Job Start
• Organise the works including assisting the Project Manager and/or Construction Supervisor to prepare purchase orders for materials, secure sub-contractors and on site labour
• Ensure that all critical documentation is included in all job files on a weekly basis, that all costs are entered into the job cost system, the job is closed off and that the file is checked passed to accounts for invoicing
• Issue weekly client progress reports to YVC key clients
• In consultation with the Project Manager, arrange site inductions
• Compile final certificates for all trades
Skills required Skills for this role include:
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate several small projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with our key clients and maintain our sound relationships with preferred trades
Strong written and verbal skills
Good computer knowledge
Sound knowledge of sub trades and market rates and ability to read plans
Willing to learn from an experienced and dedicated team
