The Role:
With growth the search is now on for a Commercial Manager who aims to create a career.
The Commercial Manager is to lead the tendering, CAA management and contract administration functions of the practice. The long-term aim is to build the Managing Directors trust in the commercial abilities of the Commercial Manager to the extent that he is confident sharing / passing on these responsibilities, so that the MD can direct more attention to the creative and business development aspects of the practice.
Responsibilities include leading on all contractual elements within the practice, developing the practice’s commercial opportunities, developing the team, meeting with clients, giving direction to staff, and monitoring the progress of projects.
Making decisions in collaboration with MD and fellow Directors on the overall direction of all projects.
Required Skills:
You will Need...
- A minimum of 12+ years’ experience within the Studio/ Project Management, Architecture background preferred.
- A solid understanding of the tendering process, ability to manage CAA’s and lead contract administration and the contract team.
- Understand all elements of the contractual processes as they relate to clients, consultants, and construction contracts.
- A confident understanding of the legal concepts and procedures in CAA agreements, and the confidence and experience to embed the contract provisions into the client process and experience.
- Experience in being the face of the firm commercially, contractually, and legally - internally with the team and externally with clients, consultants, and all stakeholders.
- Professional Judgement.
