We have partnered with a well-known and highly regarded Consultancy seeking Senior Consultants and Managers with experience in Commercial/Procurement Consulting. This organisation that has built a reputation for Project and Program delivery across Defecne and National Securities portfolios now looking at expanding their reach into Health, Industry & Infrastructure.
Position Overview & Relationships
You will be working within a team of SME’s. You will work closely and collaboratively with stakeholders across several accounts including Defence and National Securities portfolios. Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will provide expert advice and support on commercial and procurement matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and achieving strategic objectives.
Role Statement
As a Commercial/Procurement Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical and strategic advice on commercial and procurement processes.
- Conducting market research and analysis to inform procurement strategies and identify potential suppliers and partners.
- Developing and implementing procurement plans and contract management strategies, including tender preparation, evaluation, and negotiation.
- Advising on contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize commercial outcomes and mitigate risks.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, procurement, or a related field, with proven experience in commercial and procurement roles within the APS.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic procurement planning, contract management, and commercial negotiation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex commercial issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence decision-making.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies governing procurement and contracting in the Defence sector.
- An Australian Security Clearance or the obtain one.
