The Role 

We are excited to be active participants in the push to uplift procurement resource skills and standards to professionalise procurement activities. 

We are seeking Senior & JuniorCommercial &Government Procurement Professionals to join our team. This is a Canberra based role. You will work directly with our clients to provide complex and strategic commercial and procurement advice and solutions including:    

• Analysing and researching Government procurement strategies with business areas; 
• Providing practical and fit-for-purpose procurement solutions; 
• Drafting procurement documentation including business cases, requirements; statement of work, approach to market and approval documentation; 
• Contract cost optimisation activities to maximises value-for-money outcomes; 
• Developing procurement strategies and plans for the Department’s leadership; 
• Finalising procurement documentation through approval delegates; and 
• Upskilling and mentoring of APS personnel.

Security - AGSVA Cleared NV1 (or higher) essential.

 Necessary criteria: 

• A qualified commercial resource with higher degree qualifications; 
• Practical experience in Federal Government/Defence commercial and /or procurement roles;
• Excellent pragmatic negotiation skills;
• Practical & working knowledge of CPR's & the PGPA; and 
• Ability to thrive under pressure. 

Nice to have: 

• Legal qualifications are an advantage;
• Defence experience is highly regarded.
