About the Collingwood Football Club 
Collingwood Football Club (CFC) was founded in 1892.

Local residents, community and business leaders and politicians all hoped that having their own football club could help bring a measure of pride to a downtrodden suburb.

In 2024, CFC is one of the great icons of Australian sport. Our history spans 130 years, 16 premierships and more finals appearances than any other club. Most importantly, Collingwood has grown from being a football club to a sports club with a commitment to our community.

Collingwood is not made by a President, a Captain, a Coach or a CEO.  It’s not just any one player, employee, supporter or fan, Collingwood is made by many.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Commercial Program Executivewill provide proactive administrative support to Key Executives at Collingwood Football Club as well as facilitate the engagement of staff and families across the whole Football Club.

The Commercial Program Executive will have a proactive approach and a desire to immerse oneself into the Club, including participating in staff engagement activities and interactions.

They will work in close conjunction with the People & Culture and Player Welfare teams to achieve ‘Connection’ across the whole of Collingwood Football Club.

This responsibility will also extend to and oversee the connection between CFC Staff families and partners and the Football Club.

They will also be the conduit for the Commercial Team, Fan Engagement, Players and Coaches for all commercial requests that come from External partners.

Key Responsibilities

• As an event-based business, this position will assist the Chief Executive Officer with the coordination and hosting of events such as boardroom lunches, corporate presentations through to supporting President’s functions on match days and key club events. 
• Appropriately engage relevant managers and stakeholders across the organisation in a manner which inspires ownership, enthusiasm and commitment to assigned tasks.
• Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and ethics at all times, living the values of the Club and embed our brand value.
• Oversee all Club Appearance requests for Players and Coaching staff.
• Manage and procure talent appearances for Coteries, Supporter Groups etc.

About You
To be successful as the Commercial Program Executive, you will have:

• Ability to remain composed under pressure and high levels of professional integrity.
• An understanding of the AFL industry, CBA, AFL rules and the AFL Players Association (desirable)
• Advanced Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders including a matrix structure would be highly regarded.
• Attention to detail and naturally very organised whilst able to work in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work within the culture of an elite sporting organisation (desirable).
• Previous experience supporting key executives.
