Commercial Support // Defence

Join our Defence client at RAAF Williamtown, NSW, as a Commercial Support professional. They are seeking experienced and versatile individuals to contribute to the success of our integrated workforce.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the broad direction of the Commercial Function Lead
• Manage day-to-day commercial services in line with the required schedule
• Support Project or Product Managers in the day-to-day management and tasking
• Engage in the preparation, development, and maintenance of procurement documentation
• Negotiate with capability managers and stakeholders
• Manage contracts, including drafting formal correspondence, reviewing deliverables, managing expenditure, and invoicing
• Support Export Control management tasks, including registers and compliance
• Attend forums such as stakeholder meetings, working groups, and commercial meetings
• Support corporate and functional business improvement and continuity initiatives
• Be flexible to support other staff members on priority activities

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

• Understanding of CASG and its role within the wider Defence force
• Strong Defence writing skills
• Defence Project Management experience
• ILS & sustainment management experience within a CASG Systems Program Office
• Good level of commercial awareness within defence
• Experience or qualifications in commercial law or finance

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal forms
• Problem-solving, analytical ability, and project management expertise
• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders from non-technical backgrounds
• Proactive navigation of the organization, relationship forging, solution identification, education, and collaboration
